Artist Statement
My work is focused on video production, graphic design, photography, and marketing analytics. This interest first developed in my art classes as a child. I have always been drawn to art because I was inspired by the amount of creativity I could put into my work. I strive in any environment where I can be creative. I was never the best artist with just a pencil and paper, so I developed a variety of skills so I could express my art through photos, film, and design.
As a young adult, I focus on trending new ideas and transforms them into one finished product. I create graphics and videos that have a playful and cartoonist style with an emphasis on how color can manipulate my projects. Whether it’s in black and white or full of bright complementary colors, I want to make my audience discover more than just the main subject. My process is experimental; I usually don’t have a set plan for what I want to create. I start out with a simple idea, and work to evolve that idea into something unique. My work is different because I put my own twist on things people see everyday. I enjoy altering people’s perspectives by using abstract thinking to create images and designs. I love to challenge myself to think of things in a new way. I strive to create content that allows the viewer to develop certain feelings from an image or design.
Each piece of art effects each individual that views it differently. That is why I also focus on communication and marketing analytics. I not only want to create inspiring pieces of work, but I want to analyze the effects that my work has on others. How can I alter what I create based on the target audience I am trying to reach? I not only have an artistic mind, but I also thrive in mathematics and analyzation. Combining art with my technical thoughts has developed my content because it has allowed me to be a better critic of my own work.
